The Persian Heritage Foundation has since its inception sought to support the publication of works on the Iranian world and Persian culture from a variety of authors, groups, and institutions. In collaboration with the Columbia Center for Iranian Studies, the Foundation promoted the publication of Bibliotheca Persica, a series of publications under the general editorship of Professor Ehsan Yarshater. The Foundation also sponsored and subsequently acquired Bibliotheca Persica Press, a former publisher of the Encyclopædia Iranica as well as many other books, and the Foundation continues to hold copyright for many of these publications.
Currently, the Persian Heritage Foundation through its ongoing projects, notably the History of Persian Literature series, which is now managed through the Yarshater Center for the Study of Iranian Literary Traditions at the University of California at Los Angeles and published by I.B.Tauris/Bloomsbury, continues its tradition of publishing and assisting those committed to publishing scholarly literature on the Persianate world.
