Ehsan Yarshater Lecture Series (UCLA)

This Ehsan Yarshater Lecture Series was established at the University of California at Los Angeles under an agreement with the Persian Heritage Foundation in 1992 as a way of honoring the prodigious contributions of Professor Ehsan Yarshater to the field of Iranian Studies and in recognition of UCLA’s eminence in that field. The lecture series, held biennially, consists of four or five lecture on a single theme by the same scholar with the understanding they would be published in book form when possible.  They represent original research or synthesis on Iranian Studies in any discipline (historical, literary, religious, philosophical, folklore, etc.).

Full information about past and forthcoming lectures in the series, as well as video presentations of selected lectures, may be found on the website of the UCLA Yarshater Center for the Study of Iranian Literary Traditions.
